Green Hills and LifeBio Bring Purposeful, Creative Activity to Residents

LifeBio Inc., a company that specializes in the recording of autobiographies, and Green Hills Retirement Community has come together to provide a meaningful opportunity for residents to tell their stories of themselves as well as for their family and friends. With the help of LifeBio, Green Hills residents are now recording their memories and experiences to pass along to future generations.

Green Hills wants to empower residents to say what matters most to the people they love. It is extremely valuable for family members to know their parents’ or grandparents’ life lessons, values, traditions and beliefs and the key thing is to get it recorded.
To help residents record their life stories, LifeBio.com created a specialized web application with over 250+ autobiography questions organized by four main categories - the people who shaped you, memories (childhood and historical), the “real world” of adulthood, and bringing it all together. Life Bio also offers a Memory Journal with carefully crafted questions that bring out the most important details of a person’ life. With the easy-to-use tools, residents, sometimes with the help of family, staff, or volunteers, can save their memoirs on the Web so they can order a leather, linen, or suede hardcover book directly through www.lifebio.com.

Now you’re probably asking...How does a resident get started? Kathryn Sherer, Director of Activities is spearheading this exciting new project. She can be reached by calling 465-5065 or by email at ksherer@greenhillsrc.org
