The Emerald is a specialized living environment for residents with dementia-specific cognitive impairments - meaning, the environment has been created to provide a safe, secure setting so the resident can experience life with dignity in an atmosphere that does not place demands beyond the individual's capacity to function.

The Emerald is home to a few rare individuals. Their kaleidoscope of interactions in our environment revolve around life, liberty and happiness within their perception of reality.
